How do I report an injured stray cat near me
Keep a safe distance, take clear photos, and submit a StrayKitty report with an approximate location.
If the cat is bleeding, limping, or unresponsive, avoid handling it. StrayKitty stores only fuzzed locations within about 300 meters.
- Check that you, the cat, and traffic are safe. Do not chase or grab an injured cat.
- Take 1–3 photos showing injuries, posture, and surroundings.
- Open StrayKitty and start a new stray-cat report with your photos.
- Pick the approximate spot on the map. Exact GPS is fuzzed to a ~300m area.
- Add a short note (bleeding, hit-by-car suspicion, kittens nearby, etc.).
- For emergencies, also call local animal control or emergency services.
In the StrayKitty app you can share reports on the community feed so nearby caregivers respond faster.
